​​​How much is it to play football for the season?

The cost of football for the season is $400 per athlete.

 

What Do I Need to Bring to Sign-Ups?

-Your athlete  (they must be present to be weighed)

-Copy of utility bill (Gas, Water, or Electricity only) for address verification ( bill must be in parent's name)

-Copy of your athletes insurance card

-$100.00 non-refundable deposit per athlete

 

What will I need to purchase?

Players will need to purchase the following items:

-Soft molded football cleats (NO screw in cleats)

-Mouthpiece that attaches to the helmet (no red, white, clear, bling, or dangling chains)

-Soft cup

-Practice jersey ( Red, white, black in color or last years Trojan game jersey)

-7 Pads in practice football pants (red, grey or white in color only)

How long are practices?

Practices are 2 hours long, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

 

How often do teams practice?

For the first 6 weeks we practice five days a week, Monday through Friday.

After Labor Day practice will drop to three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday same time. 

 

What is required for practice?

Every athlete must bring the following equipment to practice:

-Loaner helmet with chin strap

-Loaner Shoulder pads

-Practice jersey

-Practice football pants

-Soft cup

- Cleats

-Mouthpiece that attaches to the helmet (no red, white, clear, bling, or dangling chains)

-Adequate water to stay hydrated

If they don't have all required equipment they won't practice. 

 

​​When does the season start & how long does it last?

Practice begins July 27th and 

the first game is Sept. 12th. The season will run through first week in November. Then playoffs will begin, we do practice and play Thanksgiving week.  Super Bowl will be the second week of December. 

 

When and where are games played?

All games are played on Saturdays.

Typically, we host 3- 4 home games at Oak Hills High School in Oak Hills. The remaining games will be away games at locations throughout Southern California.

Will we have to provide game day snacks and drinks?

Yes. Each team will have a game day snack schedule that includes halftime snacks, after-game snacks, and after-game drinks.

Every athlete’s family is expected to participate when it is their turn on the schedule to help provide items for the team. 

 

How much volunteer time is expected from parents?

Parents are expected to volunteer for team activities throughout their athlete’s season. This includes:

-Working the snack bar during your team’s assigned week at the practice field.

-Working one home game snack bar shift during your team’s assigned snack bar day (not during your athlete’s game).

-Assisting with chain gang duties during away games. 

Parent volunteers help keep the program running smoothly and support the team throughout the season.

 

What kind of fundraising will be required?

Every athlete is required to participate in the mandatory league fundraiser. In addition to the league fundraiser, each individual team will also have their own Mandatory team fundraiser, as well as 2 - 3 snack bars.  Team fundraisers help cover costs such as end of season parties and team activities.
